With Cole Porter music, and yet another movie star cast, this movie was shockingly remade in the musical “High Society” within 1956. On all accounts, Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly, Frank Sinatra and Celeste Holm can not match the sophistication and wit on the non-musical cast. It seemed too similar to recycled humour, despite its attempts to be able to modernize an immortal narrative.
